Dr. Corbett (Cory) Winegar is a fellowship-trained and Board-Certified Orthopedic Surgeon. He comes to Coeur D Alene from the Boise area where he is taking time off from his orthopedic practice to study advanced knee surgery with Dr. Lyman.
Following his medical and orthopedic training Dr. Winegar served as an orthopedic trauma surgeon at St. Mark’s Hospital in Salt Lake City and at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah. He also worked in Yakima, Washington as the Orthopedic Trauma Director at Astria Regional Medical Center.
He completed his orthopedic residency at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, and then spent a year of specialty training in advanced orthopedic trauma and fracture care at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. During his training he was able to spend a year in Philadelphia at Thomas Jefferson University/Rothman Institute. He conducted research on spinal pathology and spine trauma and published several scientific papers.
Before starting his medical training, Dr. Winegar worked as a firefighter and paramedic in Utah where he grew up. He also worked as a police officer, deputy sheriff and served on the SWAT team. Dr. Winegar is excited to be here in North Idaho and care for the people as he continues his learning of advanced knee surgery, under the direction of Dr. Lyman.
Jeffrey Lyman, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with advanced fellowship training in knee problems.
He is an authority in knee arthritis, anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) injuries meniscus injuries, patella dislocations, fractures, ligament repair and total knee replacements. With an evidence-based approach to medicine, Dr. Lyman utilizes minimally invasive techniques and computer navigation to optimize his patients' outcomes.
Dr. Arena is a board certified orthopedic surgeon foot and ankle / lower extremity specialist. He completed his undergraduate education at Penn State University majoring in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Bio-Engineering. He then completed his four-year Medical School training at West Virginia University where he earned a Doctorate of Medicine degree (M.D.). He then returned to Penn State University where he completed a 5-year Orthopedic Surgery Residency/Chief Residency. Following completion of residency training, Dr. Arena, completed an Orthopedic Surgery Foot and Ankle Fellowship at the University of Utah, Salt Lake City.
Dr. Stowell is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in shoulder and elbow conditions, with procedures including arthroscopic and minimally invasive surgery. While minimally invasive surgery, arthroscopic procedures, and joint reconstruction are areas of interest, he also has an extensive practice in trauma and fracture management, as well as general orthopedic procedures.
After attending medical school at Virginia Commonwealth University, Dr. Stowell continued his training by completing both an internship and residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. After graduation, Dr. Stowell completed a highly competitive and sought-after fellowship in shoulder and elbow surgery.
Doctor Adam Olscamp grew up in Bellingham, Washington. He did his undergraduate as well as Medical School training at the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington. He then did his internship, residency and chief residency at the Medical College of Ohio. Dr. Adam Olscamp is board certified by the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery and is licensed both Idaho and Washington.
Dr. Olscamp is married to Stephanie, his wife, who is a local nurse practitioner and certified nurse midwife. They are the proud parents of 4 children. Dr. Olscamp has been a practicing orthopedic surgeon in Coeur d’Alene and Post Falls for over 20 years. He is a Co-Owner, Co-Founder and current board member of Northwest Specialty Hospital in Post Falls, Idaho.
