Dr. Vann's practice emphasizes body sculpting procedures including liposuction and abdominoplasty, mommy makeovers, breast enlargements, breast lifts and breast reductions. He has a special interest in hand surgery, including endoscopic treatment of carpal tunnel syndrome, as well as body-sculpting in patients who have experienced large amounts of weight loss.
Dr. Vann received his M.D. from the Medical College of Georgia and completed residency at Savannah's Memorial Health University Medical Center. He then completed his residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga, where he also completed a fellowship in microvascular surgery (surgery in which small nerves and blood vessels are repaired). Dr. Vann is board certified in both General Surgery and in Plastic and Reconstructive surgery. He is a member of the American Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, as well as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Vann is a former Chief of Surgery at Memorial Health University Medical Center.
Dr. Vann has been in practice in Savannah since 1985 and he served as a managing partner of Savannah Plastic Surgery for many years. He is active in both his church and community activities, including more than 20 years of annual trips to Guatemala to correct cleft lip and burn scar patients. Dr. Vann understands the importance of communication between the physician and patient, assuring the utmost in patient satisfaction.
Dr. Matthew McLeod was born in Savannah and grew up in Hazlehurst, Georgia. He graduated from Emory University and worked as a pediatric cardiac intensive care nurse before transitioning to Mercer University School of Medicine to pursue a Doctorate in Medicine. He graduated with honors and was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.
He trained in General Surgery at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA. During his time at UVA he pursued research in melanoma, surgical nutrition, and health disparities in developing countries. He received a Masters in Public Health (MPH) from the University of Virginia School of Medicine.
He was accepted into a combined training program in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Virginia Department of Plastic and Maxillofacial surgery where he served as Chief Resident in Plastic Surgery. During his training he received several awards including: Arnold P. Gold Foundation Humanism and Excellence in Teaching, Mulholland Society Resident Teaching Award, Trauma Chief of the Year, and the James Earnest Kindred Award.
After completing his residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, he pursued a fellowship in Aesthetic and Reconstructive surgery with emphasis on facial aesthetics, breast surgery, and surgery for chronic headaches (migraine surgery) at the Massachusetts General Hospital while serving as clinical faculty at Harvard Medical School.
Since returning to Savannah, Dr. McLeod has established the Migraine Surgery Program at Savannah Plastic Surgery.
Dr. McLeod is married with five children and is excited to return to Georgia to start his practice in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
Luke J. Curtsinger, III, M.D. is a highly experienced surgeon in his field, and has performed well over 20,000 operations on both children and adults. He serves patients in Savannah, Bluffton, Brunswick, Hinesville, and the surrounding area.
Dr. Curtsinger is Board Certified in plastic surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.

After attending the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana as a National Merit Scholar and a Notre Dame Scholar, Dr. Curtsinger completed his undergraduate education at Murray State University in Murray, Kentucky with a B.A. in Biology. He graduated magna cum laude as a National Merit Student and an Alumni Scholar.
Dr. Curtsinger earned his M.D. and graduated in the top 20% of his class at the University of Louisville School of Medicine in Louisville, Kentucky. He won several awards there, including the Ciba-Geigy Award for Community Service, the Tim Lee Carter Leadership Award and the Alpha Omega Alpha Outstanding Senior Student Award.
He completed his General Surgery Residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas, earning several honors including induction into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society, the Outstanding House Officer Award and the J.B. Aust Surgical Society Research Award for three years (1988, 1990, 1991). He completed Fellowships in both Wound Healing at the University of Louisville and in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
After his post-doctoral training, Dr. Curtsinger was an Assistant Professor of Surgery in the Division of Plastic Surgery at East Carolina University and won awards for teaching medical students. He has given over 100 presentations for local, regional and national audiences, earned numerous grants to study the growth of skin and wound healing, and authored over 15 scientific papers focused mainly on the healing of skin as well as breast, chest and abdominal wall reconstruction. He helped co-found the University Hospital Skin Bank in Louisville, Kentucky. His current interests include the study of nutrition for longevity and optimal health.
Dr. Curtsinger served as Chief of Plastic Surgery at Memorial Health University Medical Center and Director of Plastic Surgery Education. He was the 2018 President of the Georgia Medical Society. Dr. Curtsginer also lectures frequently on the subject, "How to Live to be 100," and "Let's Make Savannah a Blue Zone City."
Dr. Curtsinger is married and has four children. A native of Louisville, Kentucky, Dr. Curtsinger is no stranger to Southern hospitality and loves playing an active role in a part of the Savannah community.
Dr. Davies was born and raised in central Pennsylvania and received most of her training in her home state. She received a B.A. in liberal Arts from the Pennsylvania State University, an M.D. from the Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia (where she was vice president of AOA), and completed five full years of General Surgery training at the Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals in Philadelphia. Her Plastic Surgery Residency was completed at the Ohio State University Hospitals. She is Board Certified in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Professionally, Dr. Davies is a Fellow of The American College of Surgeons. She belongs to the American Society of Plastic Surgery and The American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and is an active member in both of their women's Caucus. She recently attended the 2019 American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Conference in New Orleans. Dr. Davies has served as managing partner and is presently the Surgicenter Director. She maintains a broad-spectrum practice but has trended (by demand) toward cosmetic and breast surgery in the last few years.
As a baby-boomer, she understands the desires and goals of the generation and has experienced cosmetic surgery herself. She believes there is no reason you shouldn't look as young as you feel.
