Cary is a Queens native and field electrician who works in a high-risk and high-pressure environment. Before arriving at Gentle Dental, Cary had developed a strong fear of dentists after several painful and poor experiences. He began voiding avoiding dental visits altogether, causing his issues to worsen which eventually lead to tremendous pain, discomfort and difficulty chewing.
Cary was finally referred to Gentle Dental by a colleague. In meeting the team and Dr. Gelfand, Cary expressed his anxiety and concern with dental procedures. To accommodate Cary's needs, Dr. Gelfand utilized specific technologies and techniques designed to help anxious patients. In doing so, Dr. Gelfand was about to address Cary's significant dental needs, helping restore Cary's smile his and oral health. Today, Cary is no longer scared of dentists.
Hope is a school teacher and longtime patient at Gentle Dental. She first arrived came to Gentle Dental looking for a dentist she could trust. Hope was concerned about discoloration in her front teeth, and was advised by previous dentists to perform bleaching and whitening procedures. After first addressing her basic dental needs, Dr. Ilyabayev appropriately diagnosed Hope's front teeth as having been affected by childhood trauma. Only then, Hope remembered a bicycle accident she suffered when she was 5. After fully understanding the issue, Hope decided to move forward with a four-veneer treatment plan to create her dream smile. She's been a part of the Gentle Dental family ever since.
