Dr. Chesley was born in Little Rock, Arkansas and raised in Colorado. He graduated from Colorado College in 1990 with a B.S. in Biology and attended medical school at the St. Louis University School of Medicine.
He then completed a internship in general surgery at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego, California. He received a navy health profession sciences scholarship. He served active duty with the navy as a flight surgeon with the Marines.
After his military service, he finished his urology residency at Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey, Pennsylvania. He is a Board Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Urology and a member of the Washington Medical Association and the American Urological Association.
His special interests include endourology (kidney stones), general urology, voiding dysfunction, hypogonadism (low testosterone) and erectile dysfunction. Dr. Chesley and his wife, Susan, have two children.
Together they are involved in a number of outdoor activities, including hiking and soccer. Dr. Chesley is also an avid fly-fisherman and is a present member of the Lower Columbia Flyfishers.
A resident of the Longview area since 2003, he enjoys the small-town atmosphere, the moderate climate, and the close proximity to the mountains and rivers.
