Michael W. Fremgen

Michael W. Fremgen, DO, is a talented general surgeon specializing in minimally invasive and robotic surgery, treating patients throughout the Northwest suburbs and Greater Chicagoland area. He primarily sees patients at Chicago Surgical Clinic, in Arlington Heights, Illinois.

His specialty focus is robotic colon resection, hernia repair, gallbladder removal, hiatal hernia repair, abdominal wall reconstruction, and a variety of other general surgery procedures.

He is dedicated to providing the highest quality services to patients in need of compassionate and efficient surgical care.

Prior to earning his osteopathic medicine doctorate from Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in Downers Grove, Illinois, in 2013, Dr. Fremgen attended Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Biology.

Upon graduation from medical school, Dr. Fremgen knew he wanted to dedicate his life to surgery and subsequently completed his general surgery residency at Olympia Fields Osteopathic Medical Center in Olympia Fields, Illinois.

In addition to being an active member of the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), the American Medical Association (AMA), and the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons (ACOS), Dr. Fremgen is affiliated with the Associated Surgical Center, Advocate, and AMITA system hospitals where he takes emergency and trauma calls.

When he is not attending to patients, Dr. Fremgen spends his time golfing, playing video games, and traveling.
